Recently I happened to find myself in the small town of Campbellsville, Kentucky (population 11,000). All the locals raved about THE place they like to go for a great cuppa. So I ventured downtown to Harden Coffee to see for myself what all the fuss was all about. I’m very glad I did!... Read More | Share it now!
The term “superfood” has become synonymous with healthy living. I’m sure you’re familiar with the term. A superfood is high in health benefits and nutrients. Foods like blueberries, avocados, salmon, almonds, and acai berries fall into this category. And in the coffee realm, the recent craze of bulletproof coffee has people making all sorts of health-related claims. Some of these claims may or may not hold water. When I pour my morning cup, I prefer silence; lots and lots of silence. In fact, it’s probably safest for those around me to refrain from speaking until I’ve ingested a few sips. But hey, that’s just me. Plenty of coffee lovers crank up the tunes first thing in the morning. Or if coffee addicts take a much-needed break in the afternoon or evening, music might be an integral part of that experience.... Read More | Share it now!

While she personally doesn’t like coffee, she knows that I adore it. Whenever my husband and I visit her home and stay overnight, I bring my French Press along with me. In her TV-watching, commercial-influenced mind, convenience trumped everything else about the beverage and the machine. That includes the beverage quality, price, and product sustainability. And there is no denying the fact that the Keurig is the very essence of convenience.... Read More | Share it now!
I am a coffee purist – mostly. Ninety-nine percent of the time, I will choose a regular cup of strong, rich coffee enhanced by a good-sized dollop of half and half over any menu item. No sugar. Skip the foam. Bypass the gathered tears of Swedish milk maids. Call it mundane or boring, but I know what I like and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.... Read More | Share it now!
You’ve no doubt heard of a pub crawl. The plan is to hit bar after bar with a friend. Schlep from cocktail to cocktail to cocktail. Eventually the sidewalk tilts, forcing you to crawl home and worship the porcelain god and look up hangover cures on Google. This was fun in my twenties, but now? Not so much....
